La Fornacina (320 sqm - sleeps 10/11) is a large, comfortable house with stone walls and shady porticos.

Casa Principale: view of sitting room and fireplace.

Surrounded by a large garden (3000 m?) with private swimming pool, guests are able to enjoy the utmost freedom and privacy. Indeed, there are only fields, vineyards, olive groves and hills covered with typical Mediterranean vegetation as far as the eye can see.

The interior is tastefully decorated with mainly period furniture. The floors are paved in Tuscan terracotta, while the ceilings have terracotta vaulting or chestnut beams.

The cottage has the pleasant welcoming feeling of a turn of the century manor house.

COMPOSITION:

Casale Principale
Ground floor: large sitting-dining room (70 m?) with fireplace, satellite TV. Kitchen with marble work surfaces, gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. "Yellow bedroom": double room with private bathroom with shower. Internal staircase leading to first floor.
First floor: independent entrance if required (external staircase). Sitting room. "Blue bedroom": double room, private bathroom with shower. "General's bedroom": double bed with fireplace. "Green room": double room with shared bathroom with shower.

Dependance "Casetta del Forno"

Conditions of Stay  

The farmhouse complex is rented as a whole package for a minimum of 3 nights or by the week. Casa Principale and La Fornacina may not be rented separately.
Six hours domestic help per week (excluding Sundays) are included in price.
Heating will be charged locally according to m3 used.
Supplements: final cleaning € 120.
A deposit of € 500 will be requested at the beginning of the holiday and will be returned -less the cost of any damages - at end of stay.
An advance payment of 20% of the total cost of the holiday is payable on booking. The outstanding balance shall be settled on arrival. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted.
No catering supplies are provided but it is possible to book a family dinner to be paid for in situ.
Small family pets are admitted at a supplementary cost of €25.00 for the whole period of stay.
Weekly stays commence on Saturday afternoon (17.00-20.00) and terminate on Saturday morning at 10.00 unless otherwise agreed.

From Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport in Rome: take Roma - Civitavecchia motorway to junction with SS 1 Aurelia. Take Via Aurelia towards Grosseto for approximately 150 km. Exit at Albinia.
From A1 motorway exit at Firenze-Certosa and take Superstrada for Siena; take SS223 towards Grosseto for approximately 70 Km. At Grosseto take SS1 (Via Aurelia) towards Rome for approximately 33 Km. Exit at Albinia.
The ancient village of Pitigliano lies just a few kilometres from the farmhouse complex.
Take A12 (Genova-Pisa-Livorno) motorway south until end. Take SS 1 (Via Aurelia) towards Grosseto-Roma. Exit for Albina 33 Km south of Grosseto

From the Albinia exit cross the village on the SS 74 towards Manciano. The first sign for Tenuta Cavallini is situated 24 km out of the village. 600 m after sign on the left (50 m before La Sgrilla) two piles of bricks and travertine stone and two pine trees stand on either side of an asphalted road. Take this road and follow the signs for the farm for 2 km until you reach an avenue of cypresses. At the end of the avenue turn right into an avenue of pine trees which leads to the farm.

Prices, in EUROS, apply to one week.
For a 3 nights stay the cost is half of the indicated price + 100 Euros.
